Design of Today 2.0 by Projec_TO | Studio Nucleo Primitive | Ph Luisa Porta

Studio Nucleo have been part of “Design of Today 2.0” curated by Projec_TO.
The exhibition was hosted in the beautiful spaces of
Palazzo Martini di Cigala made by Filippo Juvarra,
a famous Italian architect active in the late Baroque period.
The second exhibition focused on the controverted dialogue between
contemporary design and the Aulic Juvarra’s background.

Studio Nucleo exhibited after 13 years the entire “Primitive” series
showed at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in 2009.
Geometric Primitives are pushing the ancient walls of baroque living spaces
as a paradox of the artistic movement of the XX century.
Primitive is a project focused on erasing all excessive decorative styles.
The project aims to fragment and destroy form to reduce it into sections
of elementary geometry.
Primitive is pure volume, load-bearing structure, strength and vital consistency
of the materials creating a unique environment in space and time.
